OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE: SIGNARAMA FRANCHISE OWNER DAWN HOMA WINS NATIONAL WOMEN IN SIGNS AWARD

The owner of Signarama in Brighton, Colorado, honored for positive impact among sign industry influencers

WEST PALM BEACH, FL / BRIGHTON, CO (Date) – Innovative marketing efforts and a diverse new client base brought remarkable business growth for the Brighton, Colorado, Signarama® location franchise owner Dawn Homa, one of five nationwide winners of the Women in Signs Award hosted by Signs of the Times magazine. Homa was chosen from a highly competitive field, which brought 150 nominees submitted by companies across the U.S. and Canada.
For this year’s award, the magazine’s editors called for nominees who “spurred innovation, fueled business growth or otherwise made a significant, positive impact” within their organization. Homa clearly met those standards, with a novel marketing strategy leading to 30 percent growth in each of the last three years.
“2020 started out rough and this award validates all the effort my team and I put in to weather the storm, and it is truly an honor to be recognized by our peers,” said Homa. “This award means so much to me and my team, and I thank them and our customers for making it possible.”
Homa grew and diversified her store’s client base, expanded its product line, and sought continuing education to learn more about social media strategies, which she utilized in expanding and boosting Signarama Brighton’s digital footprint. From the fourth quarter of 2020 to the end of 2021, her store had a billboard on a major highway that generated buzz and foot traffic.
Homa implemented new processes and invested in technology to increase efficiencies and profitability, adding automation and digital tools like Google Maps and Zoom to improve customer processes. In addition, she extends innovation to her employee relationships, building a strong culture of success by encouraging employee recognition and fostering collaboration.
She is an active member of the sign industry and her local community. For five years, she served as Vice President of the Colorado Sign Association and is a well-known supporter of her local community, often donating signs, banners, decals, and more for many local non-profit organizations.
“We’re extremely proud to see Dawn Homa achieve this prestigious recognition by our industry,” said A.J. Titus, president of Signarama. “Dawn’s leadership of her Signarama franchise has been nothing short of transformative. We believe she and Signarama Brighton will continue to do great things for her customers, employees, and the community her store serves.”
The 2022 Women in Signs winners were featured in Signs of Our Times’ April issue and will be celebrated at the International Sign Expo in Atlanta. The honorees will also participate in a candid conversation by webinar in late May.
